Oh he faught all right. With one hand and an elbow tied behind his back. I don't recall anyone saying he didn't fight, just that his efforts were ineffective. Of course he didn't blame the previous admin. It had no major foreign based attack on it's soil to serve as a wake up call nore 8 years of increasingly daring and fatal attacks. I also don't recall people trying to blame Clinton for the first towers attack at the early part of his term before he had time to put any major stamp on our security system.

Bush has spent far more time doing something than blaming Clinton. It's obvious having an attack on his watch really bothers him. He's also said his admin didn't do enough pre 911. Blame for from R leaders Clinton mostly comes up when Dems try to lay the whole thing in Bush's lap. It comes up here a lot because many of us no longer believe in holding back like Clinton did. I understand that such a response was defensible prior to 911 eventhough I disagreed with it then. My point is no way I'm supporting returning to it.
