About sixty of the Swift Boat Veterans were on missions with Kerry, or served with him. One was actually on his boat.
The Kerry defenders' credibility bar is raised and lowered by convenience. If people who were on neighboring boats tell the right story, they are brought out as valid witnesses. If they tell a different story, they are irrelevant because they weren't on the "same boat." Do you think nobody's paying attention to this line of crap?
And of course, this eludes the main point, which is that the vast majority of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth object to Kerry's proven and documented anti-military actions after he returned from Vietnam, and couldn't give a rat's ass about his medals.
BTW, this commentary was first posted to a blog on August 6th, and is therefore based on everything the author knew then about the issue, the witnesses, the facts, and the records, i.e. damn little.
