It is poking fun at the fanatics who are blindly following their hatred for Pres. Bush by alliteration with a reference to a fanatic group that history has rightly condemned. The reference also highlights the drinking of koolaid in Jonestown, where the faithful, when confronted with the collapse of their cult leader's world, drank koolaid laced with cyanide. The cult members chose to die rather than face the loss of their core belief.
