But hey, Crieghton had this idea in 1965, right? And where did the probe land, in Piedmount, Arizona? Been a few years since I saw the movie and read the book, but as a High School kid, our physics teach was against sample returns coming back to earth, either Lunar or Space Station outposts would be the proper method to prevent contamination he said. And where did the probe go to when found by retrievel team ?
A DOD installation called WILDFIRE!
Monitor the area for anyoutbraks or any strange illness, I say.
