The terrorists want Kerry to win because they think he's soft and are trying to up the body count to get Bush kicked out. They sure as hell aren't doing it for their friends neighbors and foreign aid workers who they murder indescriminantly, brutally and film with pride. It makes me sick to hear Americans make excuses for such sorry excuses for human beings.
This is a real issue though. Bush's team royally screwed up the aftermath. We should have made postwar security a top priority not an afterthought. It should have been pursued with maximum focus once the oversight became obvious. Unfortunately the partisan bickering and administration arrogance combined to prevent a clear focus on this issue. It's too bad the two critical elections are so close together, the die will probably be cast before whoever wins the election can refocus and take effective action on this issue.
You can't solve a problem you refuse to acknowledge. So it went for Bush in postwar Iraq, job migration, and on global warming; and so it goes with the Kerry campaign, and the mad dog Democrats who see no wrong with lies and distortions as long as it leads to Bush's defeat. Kerry's time interview indicates a full blown case of denial. I used to be concerned Bush would loose the debates due to his faltering speech, but even stuttering and grasping for words is more convincing when spoken with conviction than the silly self contradictory stuff Kerry has been spouting in fine grammer.

Mark
