The problem is not with the folks with their feet on the ground.

They are doing a helluva job, without enough support from the Bush Administration to get the job done. There just aren't enough of them.

And, there are no casualties because, from the looks of it, the US is using airplanes and bombs on these cities. Notoriously good for killing everyone, men, women and children without regard for race, religion or military status.

And, I will have to say, NO ONE can "win". There is no "win" in this situation, unless you call garrisoned in the 4 permanent bases and controlling the oil "winning". Propping up a puppet government long enough to seal off the oil fields from the Iraqi people might be called "winning", I suppose.

Clearly the Iraqis want us out of there, just as I would want them out of here. They ain't gonna give that up, especially considering the excessive force used by the invaders in an attempt to pacify the locals. GWB is the best thing to happen to OBL, ever. His re-election would be the greatest thing in the world for al-Qaeda, as his appointment was. For that, listen to the folks who know, the Egyptians for instance.

But "win"? Way, way to late for that. No one will "win". Sadly, there will be no peace with an American presence. Only children could talk about "winning" in a situation such as this.

And it was all predicted. This mess was foretold, that the country would become destabilized, then the area, and then the pieces will be too hot to pick up.
