We lost our power last night at 10 PM and got it back tonight at 7 PM.

We were very lucky. The eye passed to the east of us about 40-50 miles so we got barely hurricane winds. No damage at all but for the usual yard litter. Still no cable so I am on a dial-up connection.

Pensacola, FL, Orange Beach, AL and Gulf Shores, AL were hit hard and the power grid for P'cola was almost wiped out. They will be min 3 weeks without power.

The (official :) death toll stands at about 7 so far. All in FL and all from tornados.
