The people who are forcing the issue are your Californian Dianne Feinstein (D)*
and my Washingtonian Patty Murray (D) with some other Port states chiming in.

Till now only about 1% of all cargo was inspected and only about 10% are x-rayed.

Please think for a moment about loose nukes and the open ports and forget you're partisan for that same moment. Bush has to go! He has only a focus on foreign wars would not increase the port security to the levels needed. Ever!

San Francisco or Seattle are going to get nuked and the whole economy will shut down for months. This is what Bush administration did with the private aircraft industry for almost a month after 9/11. I know for a fact they almost killed this industry because they couldn't think on their feet.

* Please do not go off on Feinstein. For what ever reasons she is doing this part of he job well and for you and your children.
