The port of Houston is very secure. Having the nation largest Petro-chemical facilities around your port will make you want it secure. That stuff goes boom very easily.
Just a few days ago, a ship from Africa was forbidden to move from its spot in the off the coast because someone died from an unusual illness. Fearing Bio-terrorism, the coast guard made sure no one left the ship, or the ship got any closer to the mainland.
Our local Coast Guard keeps any eye out for nuclear, chemical and biological agents. Apparently they have ways to detect those things.
