Kennedy got us in that war for the right reason

Kennedy got us in that war to stop the spread of Communism. At that time, communism was taking over huge chunks of the Earth. With Stalin’s words of “WE WILL BURY YOU,” still fresh on everyone’s minds, I do not fault Kennedy for sending troops to Vietnam.

What was wrong about the situation was the way the war was fought. Treating it as a police action was not the way to go. But we know what they say about hindsight.
