Michigan is counted as one of the top five most gerrymandered states in America. The Republican state House of Representatives took another shot at redistricting in 2011, and the 2012 results are a testimony to their success:
· Republican · Democrat
Seats before · 64 · 46
Seats after · 59 · 51
Seat change · -5 · +5
Popular vote · 2,036,169 · 2,387,882
Percentage · 46% · 53%

A "democratically-elected" Michigan House of Representatives would have 58 Democrats and 52 Republicans.
Why, what a remarkable coincidence! The attack on unions passed by exactly those numbers...only the party affiliations were exactly opposite. The outcome would've been different in a state less corrupted by Republicans than Michigan.
The claim that there was anything democratic or representative of the people's will in the Michigan vote is just pure unadulterated 100% partisan horseshit.
All it is is yet another act of political terrorism by the Republican Jihad.
