The kid knows not whereof he speaks.

The US Army, right now, as 425,000 TOTAL.

Of course, not all of the troops in Vietnam were Army, but you can get an idea as to what the strength was over there.

And we still lost. And couldn't "win". The Chinese and Russians would have let us, and the Vietnamese were fighting for their homeland. To them it truly was a civil war, though that in one sense could be considered an oxymoron.
