Buchannon had a jump in votes out of all expectation. The votes of those trying to vote for Gore but getting confused by the ballot would have gone to Buchannon. (Votes cast in error like this were far more than enough to give the election to Gore. You guys got lucky.) It has nothing to do with who said what to who and when or whatever Republican smoke you are laying down on the issue.
Bottom line is, a lot of folks were confused and did vote in a way they did not intend. No conspiracies were involved in this phenomenon. I have heard it said in the media, that the precincts that had more of these mis-votes tended to be those with large senior citizen communities.
If I was a senior living in Fla, then I would think these oh so funny voting jokes were directed at me. I'd be pissed.
That's it, I'm bored with this.
