I'll bet the average per-capita beer consumption of males in Austrailia is about double that of the US. The guys I met there when our sub pulled in for a short visit were wild partiers and embodied the pioneer spirit I envision existed in the US 100 years ago.
It's not surprising at all to me that Austrailian men are itching to get into a good fight no matter where it exists and I welcome their allegiance. However, the world is made up of more than just rowdy beer drinkers that dangle their infants in front of crocodiles so I think it's incumbent upon us to do more than just appeal to the Aussies. I'm afraid it's a bit short-sighted to think that we're doing well globally just cause we're joined in the fray by a couple of loyal countries. This is a chess game, not simply checkers. When our country learns to use its brain as much as its brawn our future becomes much brighter.
