I wonder how many Americans like Kerry trying to engage in private diplomacy, or respect what he is doing with it?

Is this sort of like his private negotiations with the VC during the Vietnamese war which, according to the VC leaders, was greatly appreciated for the support it gave them to stand against the US?
Hard to tell the difference...maybe he is consistent.
