Canada loses a lot of it's citizens- LA is something like Canada's 4th largest city. So if all the American cowards and antiwar type want to live in Canada who can complain about that?
We should be subsidizing all those who want to become Canadian citizens- how about a free one way ticket?
Add to this all Americans wanting America to be more Socialist- Canada is your promise land- welfare and free medical for all.
Canada has less population density than any state in the union and is a big net exporter of energy [oil and electricity].
And if you really believe that our planet is going to get significantly warmer, Canada's climate could improve significantly. Vancouver is a nice city- if you want more rain and slighter cooler weather than San Francisco.

Another aspect of Canada is it didn't have a history of blacks being enslaved, instead if the general topic is discussed it's about Indians and perhaps their fishing rights. Practically all America type political topics, are non-existent. One issue sometimes discussed is Canada's identity- living in the shadow of the US is source of endless inane discussion.
