then last week was a steamrollering of the prez.

Cheney won - if it were a prize fight I'd score it 116-112.
If Edwards had stuck to the questions at hand he'd have come across a great deal better.
Cheney told porkies, but then I expected that.
Edwards did barely OK, but I expected that too.
