In our local School district
There are very powerful people who work to destroy G/T programs, and often succeed.
Their rationale is that G/T programs are unfair and elitist and even racist.
They can sift and re-sift stats to support this bizarre claim.
I think they are profoundly evil people, frankly.
And having met some of them, and seen them at work, I don't say it lightly.
