No state has ever committed suicide like the terrorists have.
They know (states) as well as we know that if they start a nuclear confrontation against the US or Israel, they have no chance to win.
The conservatives keep justifying the war by claiming Saddam would have sold nuclear weapons to his own enemies, the islamists.
First, he didn't have those weapons.
Second, even if he did, what good would that have been to his own survival?
Third, look at India and Pakistan: both are nuclear powers with nuclear weapons. Have they used them against each other? Pakistan is a nest for terrorism.

It's amazing and terrifying how war propaganda works in the US. It worked in Germany too, 65 years ago.
