Cheney has said he won't run in next election. But there are lots of Republican alternatives: Powell currently has a 80 approval rating in the miltary, he certainly is qualified to be president- the only question is does he want the job. Rudolph Giuliani is possible.
I think it very doubtful that we want another Bush, but if Jeb Bush does something remarkable, I suppose it's conceivable. But probably Jeb would skip a few presidential election cycles before attempting a run. Of course, if we change the constitution we could have the Terminator run for President [assuming he turns this state around- so far he is doing ok].
