Bush's economic message has explained the deficit he has created is growing the economy. When Bush obliterated the Clinton surplus of $ 236.4 billion, and put us in debt by over $ 304. billion and growing this was explained as growing the economy, the effects of the war in Iraq, the "War on Terror," the drain of Medicare, the Social Security system, and the lack of school vouchers.
Never was a mistake part of the explanation.
But I do notice that the Bush administration has been goooood for oil men world wide. The only problem for Americans is that we produce 6% of the world's oil and consume 26% of it. In short, we are in a continual energy deficit with no solutions even suggested by this misadministration.
Not a pretty picture for our children.
The real oil price has gained 70% since 2000.
This is the Bush legacy.
