I've always thought that the well-rounded individualist needs a good balanced dose of both Heinlein and Rand, among many others. I've known people who worship Ayn Rand, and to be blunt, most of them aren't much fun to be around.

Combine Ayn Rand and Stephen Jay Gould, and you can discover the secret of the human condition.
