There is only so much oil and soon we will need other sources of energy.
I suggest people read "Moonrush" by Dennis Wingo.
I disagree with many things in his book but the basic concept is worth debate on a national level.
He suggests fuel cells offer the USA and other countries a future supply of energy. But we need large amounts of PGM* to make catalysts for the cells and he thinks the Moon is the bet target to mine these metals on.
