Well, obviously the majority is often wrong on technical points - the Earth is flat, the sun revolves around the Earth, malaria is caused by bad air, humans can't travel more than 30 mph, etc, etc.
I was thinking more of social issues - morality wrongs. There have been many societies where slavery was practiced, and usually the majority in that culture did not believe it was wrong. Specific issues - gay marriage, abortion, seatbelt laws, corporal punishment of children, etc - can be argued, but are at least limited in scope.
And more specifically, I was thinking of broad outlooks, general world-views, deeply held beliefs - such as "there is a God", Pax Americana, "white man's burden", socialism/capitalism is the best way to run a society.
Do I pass, teach? :)
