Sorry, I asked the question and then forgot about the thread!
I'm kind of with Tom in that the things/people we vote on tend not to be provable as right or wrong. When we get a time machine, we can, after 20 years of evaluation of the Bush world, go back and make Kerry win. Then we can wait 20 years and compare the worlds and pick the one we want. Still, our standards for choosing between the two worlds would likely be subjective and we would have to vote on it. ;-D
