I have never thought of you as a partisan hack. I know little and care less about your politics. I have come to think of you as I once thought of Bowser, quick with the personal insult when you respond to someone that you think is wrong.

Your inability to ignore what you see as silly or ridiculous is not a noble trait. It is a character flaw apparent to nearly every soul on this board. Consequently, it tends to result in a "don't start your shit with me" reaction when you may have not intended much offense.

I and many others here frequently ignore idiotic posts because it is not worth the band width or risk of hurt feelings. I think Smyth should be banned but I am not going to waste my time insulting him over and over. Many years ago I traded insults with a nut case who wound up blowing his brains out on local TV. I doubt that I pushed him over the edge but I have never forgotten it.

Specifically, I was pissed with misinterpretation of my offhand remarks (as easy as that might be on occasion) on the apology website. How could you possibly believe that I think Republicans have a claim on diversity when any fool knows that the dems own that distinction. I simply commented that looking at the first 5 and 5 random pages on the apology website did not include anyone black. Does that mean I think blacks are Republicans? Ridiculous. It probably means I missed the pages they were on but it also might mean that those of the black persuasion might not feel inclined to pour out maudlin apologies to the ROW because their candidate didn't win. If that is so they have my undying admiration.

To believe that I was claiming that the Republicans have a monopoly on diversity is an insult to one of us. Either I am an idiot for claiming that or you are for thinking it. Would a smiley face have helped?

Anyone that has really been paying attention knows that I am macro insensitive, notoriously irreverent, politically incorrect and incurably pragmatic but liberal to moderate on most social issues.

Furthermore and finally, it is often difficult to impossible to know if I am being serious.
