So, let's call it 15,000 or—allowing for deaths that the press didn't report—20,000 or 25,000, maybe 30,000 Iraqi civilians killed in a pre-emptive war waged (according to the latest rationale) on their behalf. That's a number more solidly rooted in reality than the Hopkins figure—and, given that fact, no less shocking.
Whew! I feel SO much better! Thanks Tom, for a moment there I was worried maybe we had killed 100,000 or more civilians, imagine my relief when it turns out to only be 10's of thousands- just enough to populate my home town!
Looks like this war is still just, and going perfectly...
I am curious, Tom, what IS the magic number of civilians that need to die before one can question the justification of this war? Just curious, since you obviously dont think 10's of thousands are enough... and the number is growing daily- please tell us what that magic number is and I will bookmark it so I can let everyone know when we reach that number. Then maybe you and your friends will stop calling those that opposed the war cowards and traitors and terrorist supporters and actually listen to what they say...
Somehow I doubt it...
