We now have a situation where a radical muslim government of Iran, with its strong anti-American, anti-Israeli agenda, is poised to launch a 20 kg [45Ib] artificial satellite into Earth-orbit.
Could such a small satellite [or others like it] have a military/strategic function?
Could the Iranians fit such a small satellite with a few pounds of explosives,
a few pounds of pellets/shrapnel, and a radio detonator to disperse a destructive swarm of pellets in the path of [say] a Keyhole or Lacrosse spy satellite?
