No matter what happens in the Iraqi election, the numbers will be inflated.

Bush will proclaim a great victory for Iraq and democracy.

Allawai will be inaugurated with as much pomp and circumstance as the country can handle. (The Afghan Theory - an inauguration maketh the legitimate government, no matter how little of the country is actually under the control of the government.)

Conservatives will continue to assert that Allawis political opposition which was imprisoned prior to the election immolated themselves to get sympathy from international humanitarian organizations.

The Bush Administration will pressure any and all foreign nations they can to recognize the Iraqi government, attempting to legitimize the puppet government.

And it will resemble nothing except Eastern Europe under the Soviets after WWII.
