It was several years back, but I do remember a friend of mine having a 80 something Kawasaki 500 LTD. I can't remember many details, but I do believe it was a 500 (It could've been a 454cc not sure) and I know it was built in the 80's. I'll never forget it because in high school, we all rode crotch rockets (KZ/Z1-900's, KZ/Z1R 1000's, etc.) and he went out and bought that older model smaller bike with a sissy bar. The reason he had bought it was because his parents had moved and he wanted something smaller and more comfortable to ride for the commute. He had about a 50 mile round trip and he did this for a couple of years and never had any problems with the bike that I can recall.
