What every person wants...
Sure, they want Star Trek come to life.
Trouble is, the overwhelming probability is that there is no such photogenic life in our solar system and even if there is, it will take decades and squillions of dollars to find it.
I prefer to work on public outreach, showing how interesting the Universe is. So long as we don't turn our backs on it, it'll always be there and one day we'll get a foothold in space.
No rush, yet...
