I see the effect you refer to
but to my untrained eye, I cannot prove that the differences are caused by parallax rather than changes in the morphology of the peaks (hopefully due to snowpack) and to differences in weather (clearer viewing in '04) and differences between color vs. b/w (can't easily tell snow from sky in b/w).
