I really enjoyed "The Invaders". That's another television story for which I'd like a boxed DVD set of the entire series. LJK mentioned how the aliens would glow red when they died and then leave a black imprint of their bodies on the ground. The aliens were a bit like Al Qaeda terrorists in not being the slightest bit shy about committing suicide for their cause. For example, a standard plot device was an alien would take a suicide pill and then jump on a device that needed destroying. The alien would then disintegrate and take the object out with him. The alien's also had kick-ass ray guns. I remember this one scene where the alien had wrecked his flying saucer after a bad landing. He didn't want to leave the saucer behind so he pulled out his ray gun and disintegrated the entire wreckage with a single zap. Mind you the flying saucer was a big hunk of metal and nothing short of a direct hit with a nuclear weapon could have completely vaporized it. Total suspension of disbelief was an important part of enjoying "The Invaders".
