...at the time. Not everything has to be about using guns and bombs. Sometimes it's enough not to give them to people. But I don't think we've learned that yet.
Listening to Iraqis on the ground? I do. I listen to interviews. They sound pleased that Saddam is gone, afraid to leave their houses, and pissed that their country is occupied by people who destroyed what infrastructure they had but haven't restored it yet. They sound grieved by their losses. But we couldn't possibly apologize for what we have done, because we would have to admit that we're not God's Agents On Earth.
