Investment Etiquet (Like I'd Know How To Spell That Word)
Who is it appropriate to discuss financial status with other than the appropriate financial professionals? I think I'm doing well and would like to talk about it with friends to share advice, but am concerned I'd come across as bragging. My dad and I have very different views. He's far better off than me, but as it is partly a matter of inheritance, partly a matter of ungodly late nights in the shop, and partly what I think is riskier than stock (antique car collection), I have no desire to follow his example and see no point in him getting advice from me. If I try and discuss it with the wife and kids they just want to spend it. Grrrr.
Regards,
Mark
