My grandfather once owned 6 Duesenbergs, but sold all but the one he gave my Dad for graduation before they were worth more than the new cars of the day (about 2000 in 1957). Ouch! My Dad sold his for far more but during a recession at which time it was worth the same as it was 4 years earlier only partly restored (about half the fully restored value at the time). Timing is important in all investments.
