Are we past our "extinct by" date?
Hope not.
But this article raises again the observation that data (this time from dead sea creatures) continues to show that mass extinctions appear to be strongly periodic. As the article states, many previously postulated drivers, traveling thru the plane of the galaxy, Nemisis, etc. have proven lacking.
