My point is that loopholes will be exploited and used- I would prefer that my country not be the one exploiting those loopholes. Lets face the facts- if lasers are used in warfare the US is almost certainly going to be the first to use them.
I have read an account from a Vietnam veteran that had seen battle and death, he later suffered retinal damage from a laser- He said the laser incident was his most terrifying experience. Viewing the world through an eyeball filling with blood has to be a horrible thing, feeling the 'POP!' as a portion of your retina is explosively vaporized would send almost anyone into shock.
If lasers are weaponized they WILL be used as blinding weapons- they will be used to attack a 'legitimate target' in line of sight of the most possible enemy casualties.
P.S. On a side note, You have taken to using my full name in your posts to me lately- I have not hidden my identity here. Almost EVERYONE here has understood and respected my preference to not have my name in posts so Google will dredge it up. Most here are not so open with their identity. So far I have been able to assume that in this community everyone is a decent human being that respects the little 'anonymity' I want. You are apparently not a decent human being. I ask you to stop this bizzare stalking behavior or I will ask the moderator to take action.
