re: I am perfectly aware of the loophole in the Geneva conventions

Robert Lafon: If lasers are weaponized they WILL be used as blinding weapons- they will be used to attack a 'legitimate target' in line of sight of the most possible enemy casualties.

How do you know this? Last time I checked, directed energy weapons (lasers, etc.) were being developed to knock out missiles - sometimes at great distances - often in space. Are you suggesting that the mode whereby missiles will be shot down will be done so as to maximize the blinding of people? I don't think so. Indeed, by shooting down nuclear-armed missiles with lasers you are probably preventing much more blinding than will be caused by using lasers - the kind that results from looking at a nuclear explosion.

Robert Lafon: You are apparently not a decent human being. I ask you to stop this bizzare stalking behavior or I will ask the moderator to take action.

You might do a little research on terminology before you start making such accusations. I am not "stalking" you. You made a comment and I am replying - and referencing what you said to distinguish it from what I am saying. Moreover you have openly identified yourself on this website - indeed, when I asked you about this what R.L. stood for), you directed me to the page where you are identified.
