This is a lose-lose controversy
This is a lose-lose controversy. There is no position that one can take on this thing and not appear to be a heartless jerk. The root of the problem comes from what is defined as "life". This unfortunate woman's situation is so pathological that depending on one's outlook she is perceived as either alive or dead. This issue should not have been politicized or made into a public spectacle. It should have been resolved quietly by the family and physicians directly involved.
