I debated as to whether or not to post that for a good portion of the day. I was not trying to get a laugh at the expense of this tragedy, I was posting on a real event and hoping it would make people squirm and then think about WHY the post made them squirm.

I think everyone reading about the rooster in the above post found the fact that the rooster (which appeared to be far more 'functional' than Terri) was allowed to live in that state and was exploited like it was, horrifying and macabre. YET here we have a case of a human that expressed her desire NOT to live on in that state to several people (Just as damn near everyone here would feel the same way if faced with such a situation). ~20 Court cases have supported her right to die. NOW the Govenor of Florida is considering seizing custody of Terri!
Tell me that this hasn't become a goddamn circus!

My statement to Tom that HIS post was inappropriate was due to the fact that he was using the tragedy to score political points. Damn near EVERYONE other than the immediate family is using this tragedy to advance their own agenda. This has stopped being about what Terri would have wanted (what she wanted has been agreed upon by court after court after court), instead it has become about political agendas.
