If there is one Bush policy that raises hackles on conservatives, it's that one. Sometimes I think the Mexican president has incriminating photos of Bush in a vault somewhere.

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if we built a Israel-style wall across the border.

Israel is spending anywhere from about $2 to $4 million for each mile of fence. The Mexican border, I believe, is about 2,000 miles long. Total cost: $8 billion.

It is estimated that illegal immigration costs California alone almost $9 billion a year.

You do the math.

You'd have to do the whole border, obviously. A project like interstate highways.
