re: Good vs. Evil

Concerning "morons repeating memorized prayers": Don't dismiss the possibility that the creator is insane or evil. Maybe he created the universe so morons could pray to him

What is good? What is evil? One needs a reference point.

It's pretty easy to see that good/evil and mathematics are linked. Good becomes anything that is interpreted as positive. If one's negative 2 even negative one appears "good." If one hasn't eaten for a week an uncooked rat may taste "good" and be the difference between life and death. While to others it would be horribly bad and repugnant.

Relativity demands that everyone's version of good and evil are relative to their own position. So religionists do what they do and it is interpreted as "good" and very well may be good for them. For atheists or agnostics other thoughts and actions comfort them and that is "good" for them though it may be interpreted by others as "evil."

In an infinite and relative universe every single good can also be equally evil. though naturally we may not perceive the evil or good from our own frame of reference.

Relativity and morals makes so many uncomfortable and yet its almost blatantly obvious there exists no fixed good or evil anywhere in the universe. Each must progress and base their decisions upon their own frame of reference.

What any of this had to do with space though is beyond me...
