Cowing should repect a request not to use a person's full name. Robert S. should ask him to stop using RL 's name just to bug him. It is childish and very stupid of Cowing. The guy obviously has a limited capacity to understand when it comes to empathy or curtesy.

But, people shouldn't be banned simply for being a jackass till they show they won't abide by the simple rules of the Net.
