New Zealanders seem to be quite proud of the fact that their nation has no constitution. They get by on common law alone.

My big quarrel with our constitution is its reference to slavery. Yes, I know slavery was outlawed by the 13th amendment. However the Articles of the Constitution remain tainted by that national disgrace. IMHO, a new constitution should have been drafted after the Civil War and a clean break made from slavery.
