I think it's totally unrealistic

Here's why:

- transit times on the order of a century
- surviving cosmic radiation
- digitally storing DNA in ship memory
- chemically reconstructing a human crew
- raising them to adulthood using human-like puppets
- conscious and self-aware computers
- fixing in-flight malfunctions
- refitting the ship once it is in-system

Get rid of everything biological, and maybe there would be a chance.
