This has NO business being posted on the SPACE SCIENCE board, and as usual with these stories it is quickly disproved....
From the lunatic nonsense story:
On 04-09-2005 I saw what I believe to be a UFO in Comanche County Texas at 9:12 local time. I offer some unique observations.
That evening, I was walking back to my motor home after wildboar hunting in an unpopulated area that I lease for hunting. The sky was clear; wind calm and the sun had just set. The sky was growing darker and darker blue straight above and stars were beginning to show. The sky was becoming black in the east. The setting sun was still keeping the western horizon illuminated and indirect lighting from the west made it possible to see my way without a flashlight.
So he saw it in the twilight at precisely 9:12 PM near Sydney Texas.
This is VERY odd since Sunset at that position was at 7:53 pm that day and twilight ended at 8:18 PM- almost an hour before the supposed sighting of a craft illuminated by the light of the setting sun.
Now, if that time was a typo and he meant to say 19:12, then his story STILL doesnt work... You dont see stars 40 minutes before the sun sets...
This was a poorly done false report and those 'serious ufo researchers' at nuforc, didnt bother to spend 15 minutes checking the details. WHAT A SHOCK!!!!
I could go into the other sillyness in the hoax story, but it really isnt worth my time, others have pointed out the silliness of estimating the size height and speed of the craft.
