That hasn't happened to a lot of Republicans lately.
Only Democrats seem to be making the voters mad enough to "throw the bums out"
If it was such a losing proposition for the Republicans, then why were the Democrats cheering the wonderful "comprimize" so loudly?

I hope he got something more than "goodwill" good in return: If not he is a complete idiot.
McCain should change parties if he is serious about running for President. he doesn't have a chance on the Republican side. Imagine McCain (D) vs. Frist (R) in the next debate! Now that would be a specticale!
