Its $1.89/gallon here. Well over $2.00 in neghboring high gas tax Illinois.

I'm expecting prices to drop this summer: Not because the price of oil is falling, but rather because, the refineries are supposed to be up and running with additional capicity thanks to some recent upgrades that have been completed...

The price at the pump goes up and down haphazerdly because there only so many refineries available. One major accident or terrorist incident at a refinery, and you might see $3.00 (but that is the only way you'll see $3.00).

There is no grand conspiracy to manipulate the price of fuel other than the enviro-wacko conspiracy to keep refineries from expanding capacity by building new refineries, and the DNC's secret plans to raise gas taxes.
