Is it really. Are you telling me that anyone asking questions of our government is now un-American? Wow! They neglected to tell me that when I went in the service.
And your response was typical, expected and totally un-reflective. If the United States is as hated as claimed, where does all this hatred come from. Is it because we have done so much good in the world? Is it because we have demonstrated a better way of life for our people in quality of life issues? Is it because we have elevated our moral principles so far above all other nations? Is it because we have proven ourselves to be better than the rest of the world as a people?
If you can answer yes to most of these simple questions, then I guess most of us will just have to accept the other people in the world hate success in any measure, are less than human (in the American sense) and probably should be slaughtered or eliminated if they stand in the way of the American Manifest Destiny.
On the other hand, if you do believe that all men are created equal you cannot believe this applies only within the boundaries of the United States. So you must look at how we can improve on what we are doing and correct what certainly must be false impressions of America and Americans.
Is your vision of the United States one of citizens of the world we live in, or the destined masters of the Universe?
